Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Core Interactive ("Recipal", "we", "our", "us") and govern your access to and use of the Recipal mobile application, web application, and related services (the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to use Recipal. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at support@coreinteractive.live if you suspect unauthorised access. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it up to date.

3. Your content

Recipal lets you save recipes, photos, notes, and other content (collectively, "Your Content"). You retain ownership of Your Content. By submitting Your Content, you grant Recipal a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, host, reproduce, modify (for formatting/display), and display it solely to operate and improve the Service.

If you mark a recipe public, you additionally grant other Recipal users a non-exclusive licence to view, save, and share that recipe within the Service. Public content may include your display name and profile picture.

You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to submit Your Content to Recipal — for example, you wrote the recipe, took the photo, or have explicit permission from the rights holder. Do not upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights.

4. Acceptable use

When using Recipal, you agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Post recipes containing instructions that are dangerous (e.g. produce toxic substances) or knowingly unsafe to consume.
• Upload content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or depicts violence against people or animals.
• Impersonate any person, misrepresent your affiliation, or scrape content belonging to others without permission.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent allowed by law.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems, or interfere with their normal operation.
• Abuse AI features (e.g. generate disallowed content, attempt prompt injection, automate at scale).
• Resell, rent, or commercially redistribute the Service or its content without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Recipal offers a free tier with monthly AI usage limits and a paid Recipal Plus subscription with higher or unlimited limits. Current prices (in your local currency where supported) are shown inside the app at purchase time.

• Billing: All paid subscriptions on Android are processed by Google Play Billing. Your subscription auto-renews at the price shown unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: Cancel anytime from your Google Play account → Subscriptions. Your Plus features remain available until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds: Refund policies are governed by Google Play. Recipal cannot directly issue refunds for Play purchases; please request refunds through Google Play within their refund window.
• Price changes: We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the new price takes effect constitutes acceptance.

6. Referral programme

Recipal may offer a referral programme that rewards users for inviting friends. Referral rewards are personal, non-transferable, and have no cash value. We reserve the right to invalidate rewards earned through abuse (e.g. self-referrals, fake accounts).

7. AI features and recipe accuracy

Recipal's AI features extract or generate recipes, ingredients, steps, and nutrition estimates. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your dietary needs. Always:

• Verify ingredient lists before purchasing or cooking.
• Check for allergens that matter to you — Recipal does not detect every allergen reliably.
• Consult a doctor or registered dietitian for medical, allergy, or nutritional advice.

Cooking carries risk (heat, sharp tools, raw foods). You are responsible for safe handling.

8. Intellectual property

Recipal, the Recipal logo, the chef mascot, the app interface, and all underlying software are owned by Core Interactive and protected by intellectual-property laws. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial use.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers including Google (Firebase, Play Billing), OpenAI, and others. Their terms apply when you interact with their services. Recipal is not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, the licences you grant us survive only to the extent necessary to provide content that you previously shared publicly to other users.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Core Interactive's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Recipal in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability, or (b) USD 25. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Core Interactive harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, India, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
